Jun 27, 2019 Choose the Files tab. Select 'Download with Manager' on the correct file(s) you need for the mod. Wait for the mods to download in Vortex. Select a mod you wish to install and choose 'Install'. Apr 02, 2013 I dont have a solution yet, but for you, does the mod download as steam workshop civ 5 in your downloads in the steam library? Becuase everytime i unsubscribe and resubscribe, steam downloads the mods but they arent in the folder and dont appear. Anybody out there with a fix? EDIT: I think it is the new steam update. Steam Workshop is a feature of Steam that simplifies mods discovery and installation for players. Support for Crusader Kings II was added in March 2014, with patch 2.1.As of patch 2.8 the limit of 50MB has been lifted, allowing for large overhaul or total conversion mods to be on the workshop.

Hey guys, I've been seeing quite a few people asking if there's anyway to accomplish this. So I figured i would write how to get it done here for anyone that wants to do it.
First step is to download SteamCMD. This is a tool generally used to host/Update dedicated servers. Though for this we can use it download mods, too.
Windows ce 5.0 update. Here's the official link for SteamCMD. https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/SteamCMD#Downloading_SteamCMD
After it's downloaded and extracted go ahead and run SteamCMD.exe. This will pull up a command prompt window that looks like this. https://i.imgur.com/oDFjpBV.png
Here's where we actually get to download the mods.
In the SteamCMD window type 'login anonymous' without the quotes. If done properly you'll see the following.
Connecting anonymously to Steam Public..Logged in OK Waiting for user info..OK
Now that we have logged in it's time to lookup Divinity 2 Original Sin on https://steamdb.info/ so we can find the AppID of the game. This ID changes every time the game is updated so you'll have to re look it up whenever there is an update.
As of right now the current AppID is 435150.
The next thing we do is lookup the mod that we want to get off of steam. Let's head on over to the steam website to find a mod we want. https://steamcommunity.com/app/435150/workshop/
Say we want a newer mod that's only on the steam workshop. Let's get 'Tempest Class (New Spear Skills)', which we can find here. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1140405351&searchtext=.
In the link above you'll notice that there is a section called 'id=1140405351' in the url. We only want to focus on the numbers here, though. This is what we'll use in SteamCmd.
So as of now we have the two main bits of info we need. The AppID which is 435150 and the workshop mod id which is 1140405351.
Hop back over to SteamCMD and type the following
workshop_download_item 435150 1140405351
The first part of the above tells steam we want to download a workshop mod. The second part is the game we want the mod for. The last part is the Id of the mod so it knows which one to download.
If done correctly you should see the following
Success. Downloaded item 1140405351 to 'C:steamcmdsteamappsworkshopcontent4351501140405351' (2542744 bytes)
Of course the above location will change based on where you have SteamCmd located. Within the SteamCmd folder where the executable is located let's go into the directory steamcmdsteamappsworkshopcontent435150. The last bit of numbers will change with the Divinity 2 Original Sin AppID.
Within this folder is where all the mods you download will go. If you followed my instructions above to test you'll notice there is a folder in here that has the same name as the workshop mod id. Inside of this folder you will find the mod.
Have fun guys, if anything isn't clear let me know and i'll try to clear it up.

Hi everyone. I'm not sure if this is the right section, so if not, please let me know or move me. (Thanks!) Anyway, I recently bought Morrowind and the DLC's on Steam and it's been SO much easier to play this way than with my old cds. Now that I've gotten my feet wet and done a lot of the things I usually do in the game, I'm eager to play some of the mods that I like, but since I'm playing the game with Steam, I'm not sure how that works. Could someone give me instructions on how to take a mod (From say, the Morrowind Nexus) and install it in my Steam program?
Thanks SOOO much!
